In 2022, Associated Projects took on the thrilling challenge of transforming Hotel Lona, a hospitality venue in Frankston. The project involved a complete design, documentation, and construction overhaul to create a modern, sophisticated restaurant, bar, and function service. AZB Creative produced the initial high-level concept design for the project.

The visionary owners and clients behind this transformation were Charles and Edward Sedgley. With their ambitious vision for Hotel Lona, they entrusted Associated Projects, a prominent shopfitter and retail project management company in Melbourne, to bring this concept to life.

The project commenced with the development of the initial concept, and Associated Projects skillfully converted an old, single-storey real estate agency into a double-storey venue, preserving the original structure’s essence. Hotel Lona’s location on a busy corner in Frankston presented unique challenges, requiring careful planning and execution. The experienced team, including skilled tradesmen, worked diligently, even during out-of-hours, to minimize disruptions. Creative scaffolding and cranes were utilized to ensure an efficient and safe construction process.

The construction works involved a comprehensive overhaul, including demolition, structural installations, plumbing, painting, kitchen equipment, HVAC, and more, creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing hospitality venue.

Associated Projects, known for retail fixture procurement, offers comprehensive design, construction, and fit-out services for hospitality and construction projects. They optimize space utilization and create stunning environments tailored to business needs.

Hotel Lona stands as a testament to Associated Projects’ capabilities in transforming hospitality venues. Their focus on preserving the original structure while creating a modern ambiance makes them a reliable partner for hospitality and construction needs.
